Oven Repair in St. Louis — Book a Visit Today

Baking goes sideways when the oven lies about its temperature. Cookies burn on one edge. A casserole takes ninety minutes instead of forty. Sometimes the broiler works and the bake element does nothing at all. We test elements, igniters, sensors, and control boards, then verify the calibration with a thermometer instead of guessing. Holiday cooking in St. Louis homes puts real hours on an old range, and worn parts show up right when you need them most. Explain what you tried to bake. Call us or start with the quote form.

Oven Repair in St. Louis — quick answers

Why does my oven take so long to preheat?

Usually one heat source is doing all the work. A failed broil element or a lazy igniter leaves the bake side struggling alone, and a sensor reading high can cut the cycle short too. Testing tells us which one it is. Call us with the model number.

Can a bad oven sensor be fixed, or does it need replacing?

Sensors are sealed probes, so they get replaced instead of repaired. Good news is the part sits at the back wall and comes out with two screws. We measure its resistance cold before we decide anything.

Is a clicking gas oven dangerous?

Take unlit gas seriously. If you smell gas, shut the supply valve, open windows, and step outside before you call. Clicking with no smell usually means the ignition circuit is trying and failing, and that's a repair rather than an emergency.

Should I use self-clean on an older oven?

Self-clean drives cavity temperatures very high, and that heat is hard on door latches, thermal fuses, and control boards. On older ranges we'd rather you hand clean. Plenty of our no-heat calls come in the day after a self-clean cycle.

How soon can someone come out to my St. Louis house?

Call us and we'll find the next open window that fits your day. We route by area, so downtown and south city stops often group together. If you can text a photo of the model tag, we'll check parts before we head out.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call us or fill out the form and describe what you hear, smell, or see. An error code helps. So does a puddle. We ask the brand and rough age so the van carries the parts we are likely to need.

  2. Step 2

    We come look

Our technician tests the machine instead of guessing: water lines, heating elements, drain pumps, control boards. Then we explain what failed in plain words before any wrench turns.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and clean up

Common parts ride with us, so a lot of repairs finish on that first visit. Special-order parts get scheduled right away. We run the cycle with you standing there, then haul off the old part and the packaging.

Why homeowners call us

  • Hard water is our specialtyMidwest water leaves scale on everything it touches. Crusted dishwasher spray arms. Clogged ice maker lines, and washers and water heaters full of mineral buildup. We know what that grit does to valves and seals, so we treat the cause instead of the symptom.
  • Basement laundry roomsBasement setups fail differently than upstairs ones, between the long drain runs, the cold concrete, and lint packed into a vent that runs through the rim joist. We check the venting and the drain path too, not only the machine, so the same problem does not come back.
  • Freeze-thaw season readyGarage freezers quit in January. Ice makers stop when the supply line freezes, and dryers labor when the vent hood ices over. Seasonal swings break appliances in fairly predictable ways, and those are the first things we look at on a winter call.
  • Independent, all major brandsWe are not tied to any manufacturer, so we work on whatever is sitting in your kitchen or laundry room: refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, freezers. One shop, one call, whatever badge is on the door.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and the rest.
  • Straight answersIf it isn't worth repairing, we'll say so, often right on the phone.
